Become a University Museum Volunteer

Volunteer Application Form

Open to all currently enrolled SFSU students, current SFSU staff and faculty, emeriti SFSU staff & faculty, and SFSU alumni!

Now recruiting for GALLERY ATTENDANTS!

Volunteering in the Univerity Museum is easy. We offer a flexible schedule: donate a minimum of 1 hour during any public exhibition period, usually November through May every academic year, and introduce you to some spectacular ancient Egyptian antiquities, while also showing you what our Master's Program in Museum Studies is all about. SFSU students can earn up to 20 community-service hours toward general university requirements.

Volunteer applications are accepted year-round, and training orientations are scheduled in late October to mid November, to coincide with the openings of annual exhibitions.

Interested? Email us for more information, or complete and return the Volunteer Application to the Museum Studies Office in Room 515 Humanities!
