2014 Department Graduation Reception & Ceremony

Hosted by the Museum Studies Student Association

Where: Nob Hill Room, in Seven Hills Conference Center at the SF State campus, see map. Parking in the structure (Lots 19/20) on State Dr is $3 for 1-2 hours, or $6 over 2 hours.  Machines take exact bills, credit card or SFSU One Card only--NO COINS.

Let's celebrate our graduates for the 2013-14 Academic Year!  Students who graduated in August 2013 and January 2014, or who have applied or will be applying to graduate in May 2014 are eligible. Graduation event to last about 60-75 mins, and is PRECEDED by an optional, informal dessert reception in the Humanities Building, more details below.

Event Registration is by invitation only. Contact MSSA to RSVP. Each graduate should RSVP 1 for themselves and up to 5 guests, for a total of 6 on your RSVP; if you need additional RSVPs, let MSSA know and we will add the extras under your name internally. Limited Late Priority Tickets open May 19-21 for any remaining seats in the event. Thereafter, Standing Room Only upon arrival, but there will be plenty of room for up to 150 attendees.

TIMING FOR THE DAY

Attend both reception and graduation, or whichever segment suits your schedule best, especially if you're coming from other pre-event festivities.

4:00 - 5:00 PM OPTIONAL Drop-In Dessert Reception in the Museum, Humanities Building, Room 510

5:00 - 5:15 PM Walk over from Humanities to Seven Hills

5:15 - 5:30 PM Arrival in Nob Hill Room and Seating

5:30 - 7:30 PM Graduation Event to start promptly at 5:30 PM; mingling until 7:45, room must be vacated at 8:00 PM

PRE-EVENT RECEPTION IN MUSEUM, HUMANITIES ROOM 510

The graduation event in Seven Hills will be preceded by an informal, drop-in dessert reception, hosted by MSSA, from 4:00 - 5:00 PM.  Location is the Museum area in the Humanities Building.  Mingle with your fellow graduates, students and MS faculty members; meander to the Museum with your friends and family! Around 5:00 PM, we will direct you to Seven Hills for the Graduation Event.
